JUDY MCKENZIE CERAMICS
There are always a lot of coloured clays and patterned off cuts left over when working with coloured porcelain, and often I will take some time out to put these off cuts to use.
Usually, it will be a simple pinch pot. There is nothing quite like the feeling of holding a ball of clay in your hands and creating a small hollow pot. It’s a back to basics pastime, but it is extremely calming. With the left over coloured porcelain there is the added bonus of never quite knowing how the marbling pattern is going to look on the finished pot, and sometimes a real little gem emerges.
